It was so cold that day as I walked around the field, feeling bad because we were separated and I was alone and it was Winter and the air bit whatever part of me was exposed and the part most exposed was the pain that I tried to make my friend but that was, in fact, my enemy. The sun was low and as I walked I thought about the mistakes I had made that came back to me now as a misspelled word, a wine stain on the tablecloth, the disconnected call, the fact that I let you go, the picnic in the snow.
