Tallulah Bankhead is buried not too far from this angel, in a cemetary on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She was, by all accounts, a woman of outrageous appetites. She is quoted as saying: "If I had to do it over again, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner." And, my favorite: "My mother told me all about whiskey and men; but she never said anything about cocaine and women".
