It is well understood that we, in the Western world, live in a throw away society. The predominant inclination will have us throwing away more than we produce. Which could, possibly, be OK (see February post about Plastic Purge). This photo was taken in the Snæfellsnes peninsula in western Iceland. There's not a lot of anything around, except mountains and lava fields. I would guess that it might be difficult anywhere to throw away something as large as an automobile. It would seem to be relatively easy here, however. How this car got into the dumpster is a bit of a mystery. I don't think it was driven in. It would seem unlikely that it fell in by way of some navigational error. I, frankly, was (and am) stumped. Stumble It!
